My dream shawl, the beginning

Even though I just barely started my Dream Shawl, I wanted to post a pic, to track my progress. It is a little embarrassing, because of all those fantastically talented knitters that do drop by here would probably be able to knit this up quickly and I fear it will take me MONTHS (tho just in time for fall shawl weather!). Oh well, I have only been knitting a year, I think I am doing pretty good!

Anyway, I am knitting my Dream Shawl in the J. Knits San Antonio colorway (see previous post) and the pattern is Iris' Silky Tie Wrap (here is a pic).



And here is my start, which I knit up at Yarnivore and then worked on a little bit at home....



It pulls a little bit because it is on circulars, but you can see the gorgeous pattern taking shape. I have never been crazy about drop stitches, but I LOVE them in this pattern. I know it is going to turn out so lovely. Thanks for all your help, Melanie!
