I have the BEST friends!
Oh, before I forget, I was so proud of the cute top of Stephanie's hat that I knit. I LOVE that!! Swirly and geometric. And today it is surprisingly chilly in San Antonio, so maybe Stephanie will get to wear it to the kids' field trip this afternoon!

My sweet friend Jules surprised me by getting me some Noro Kureyon 170 that I admired and it is in the mail as we speak! She is the most generous and thoughtful friend! We are both working on this pattern called the Booga Bag. Here is a photo of the gorgeous yarn she took before she mailed t it to me. Yet another project I must do!
Another wonderful friend, Mica, has ordered a shirt for me that I have loved and wanted for OVER A YEAR! For those of you that don't know, I am a Scrabble ADDICT! Here is the shirt, from Threadless:

I am so lucky to have such sweet women in my life. I love you guys!
Now the bad news....I had to frog the entire Dream Shawl and start over!! I followed the pattern wrong, looking back I should have guessed that I increase in the drop stitch row regardless, even though it was not spelled out. The result was two lopsided triangles instead of a perfect symmetrical one. I could just cry! But, this is the Dream Shawl with The Perfect Yarn. I want everything to be JUST RIGHT. I carefully undid my work and will start again. The pattern is so fun, I really do not mind repeating it too much, besides, I wasn't THAT far into the pattern, it could have been worse. Thanks to Lindsay at the Modular Knitting Yahoo Group for her endless support and instructions AND friendship. Although she is in Guam, she replies to emails immediately and has the patience to look at my pics I send and go with me step by step thru email. She is great!
Well, I am off to get ready for the day. Lots to do!!

I'm sorry you had to restart your Dream Shawl...but it's kinda funny too because when I showed Stephen the picture you posted he said it looked a mess. I was defending your shawl, "Sometimes it takes time for the pattern to emerge!" when Mr.Science saw a problem right away. It's "blink", right?
