Happy Birthday to Me (almost)

Although my birthday is not until the 27th, I have gotten some GREAT presents from my sweet friends already!! Here is a pic of my gorgeous purse from Mica...and I got some fun yarn from Jules (thank you so much!) that is going to felt GREAT into a cool purse.






I am so happy with how the top of my second kitty hat is coming along. The spiraling geometric shape is really cool, I think. I try to do a little something neat with the tops of my hats, oh man that is my favorite item to knit! I love doing hats, talk about fun and instant gratification. Well....not EXACTLY instant...but my pink Noro hat is almost finished, I am going to try for the spiral top on this one, hope it looks right with the ribbing, I'd hat to frog it. As we speak, I am finishing the earflap and Icord on one side of the kitty hat, so I am on the homestretch!

And who is that gorgeous model in the blue hat holding my adoring little son? Well, that is my new "daughter"!! Her name is Tiffany, and fate brought her into our lives when my little Jack (who is in Pre-K) saw her walking down the hall at his elementary school (she's in 4th grade) and he ran to her, hugged her and instantly fell in love with :). Tiffany has been so sweet to him, giving up her recess to go to his class and help his adjustment to school (he just started 6 weeks ago). His teacher gushed about what a help she is, and I invited her over and found out for myself what a cool person she really is. For a girl who wants to be a teacher, I KNOW she is going to be VERY successful at it - she has the touch! So she comes over to help with Jack and does girl stuff with me (like shopping and knitting modeling!).
