Backyard Leaves

My good knitting friend Jules and I discovered we have the same knitting book Scarf Style when I emailed her going on and on about how I adore almost EACH PATTERN in this book. (That NEVER happens, I always like maybe 3 or 4 patterns per book) So Jules had the great idea for us to pick the same pattern and knit it together...and we decided on the very pattern that made me seek out this book in the first place, Backyard Leaves. The photo is from this page and shows the difference between the blocked and unblocked scarf. Either way, gorgeous gorgeous!
We are ordering the yarn from the fantastic Knitpicks, Andean Silk. I was thinking maybe the color Leaf, or Olive, and Jules was trying to decide between Hollyberry or Sangria. Knitpicks is a fantastic site to order from, inexpensive yet quality yarns. The variegated yarns need a little work, but the solid colors are all beautiful.

Hi Amyss,
Thanks for keeping me company today and helping me pick out some yarn at Yarnivore (henceforth, the only place I'll by yarn, since they're super-helpful and because I feel really uncomfortable at Yarn Barn).
